My mom and dad keep suggesting that I write down these funny little stories and conversations that we have with Grace so here is latest one... Yesterday, I was on the phone and she kept trying to talk to me, asking if she could paint my nails. Eventually, I said "no, I'm on the phone..." She was clearly mad and I heard her run to get Bruno. After I was off the phone, she said "I told daddy on you." I said, "Really? What did he say?" She responded, "he said we would discuss it after dinner." And that was it for awhile.
As soon as we were done with dinner, she said "Should we discuss it now?" You could tell she had been waiting for this moment. Bruno said "ok, tell me what the problem is." And then she presented her argument (I seriously think she had prepped for this moment, as a lawyer would plan his/her opening argument). She said "well, mom has been saying 'no' to me ALL day." Bruno said, "ok, please give me an example." She shared the phone story and then Bruno of course explained that it would be very hard for me to have her do my nails while I was on the phone. She seemed satisfied with that answer.
I just think it was so funny how she was anticipating the "discussion" and really seemed prepared for it. It is just amazing how fast they grow up and change!
